FEFA completes NCR lobby finish package in WTC Bldg 7

Following the successful completion of a reception project on floor 25, FEFA is proud to have completed the first phase of a $1M+ full-floor ornamental metal and glass project on floor 35. The 1st phase includes stainless steel and glass elevator lobby finish and frameless doors. Phase 2 includes unique animated showroom elements.

Two architectural stair projects currently underway at FEFA, each of which uses more than 30,000 lbs of steel, will utilize the full extent of our drawing, engineering and fabricating capabilities. The larger of the two rises 3.5 stories in the 5th Avenue, NYC, global flagship of a major fashion retailer.

Work executed in the FEFA shop can now join work in the field coming from a qualified supplier without requiring additional inspection or certification.

New retail concept with fixtures by FEFA now open in Kansas City

A new retail concept (which opened 1 day early on March 2) features 18,000 square feet of free-form fixtures detailed and fabricated by Feature Factory. One of two retail projects produced this winter, the new store is designed by Gensler and strategically located in Kansas City, a popular test-bed for new consumer ideas.

HBO store named 2008 "Store of the Year"

On January 18th 2008, the Gensler-designed HBO Shop was named the 2007 Store of the Year in the 36th annual Institute of Store Planners (ISP)/VM+SD International Store Design Competition. The award was presented at the annual ISP gala in New York.
Beautifully photographed by Andrew Bordwin, the custom structural glass retail displays with integral AV technology were built entirely by FEFA. The HBO store is located on 6th Avenue in uptown NYC.

Parametric modeling helps FEFA coordinate construction of Armani storefronts

FEFA's advanced BIM / PSM capability has resulted in several contracts to detail and produce components for a wide variety of projects. The most recent is a series of Armani Exchange locations across North America.
The first store was completed in 2007 and others will be ready for spring '08. A rollout of additional locations is scheduled for deployment through 2008-2009

Signage detailed by FEFA for NYC Gehry building now complete

Due to it's billowing form, detailing the Bruce Mau-designed signage for the new IAC headquarters in NYC provided a special challenge to FEFA engineers. The minimal mullions of the unitized glazing system provided none of the usual opportunities for anchoring the signs and the complex geometry of the building made it hard to hang the sign level and flat....

UBS chandelier complete

The new client reception center in the lobby of the UBS Investment Banking Division at 299 Park Avenue in NYC features a 2-ton glass and stainless steel "logo cube" which was detailed and fabricated by FEFA. The impressive facility was designed by Gensler New York.
