The strength of Feature Parametrics is our ability to turn good ideas in to better reality

The designers of Feature Parametrics work under the direction of experienced construction professionals to detail award-winning work for some of the world’s most recognized architects, designers and engineers. The drawings are prepared using Parametric Solid Modeling software produced by Dassault Systèmes running on the latest generation of 8-processor 64-bit computers.

From these drawings we then generate visualizations of unparalleled clarity that provide a window in to the soul of a project. These 3-D views show every nut, bolt, gasket and bend, facilitating review and critical analysis, thus ensuring that the final outcome is as perfect as the original vision.

Because of the clarity and para-solid feel, these highly-detailed drawings are often referred to as "Virtual Prototypes".

Completely defining material properties allows us to create these stunningly-real analytical visualizations, as well as accurate shop drawings and photorealistic marketing images. This new level of clarity drastically improves the design process and makes approvals more meaningful.

When it comes to production and the coordination of trades the benefits of a complete parametric solid model drawing become even more apparent. By including and updating the details of all trades related to a project, contracts are simplified, confusion is eliminated and workflow is improved, reducing the number of change orders and extras and cutting costs.

Cut files and part programs are produced from the same data to drive the machines of digitally-capable suppliers and subcontractors, who produce components. End-to-end dimensional and tolerance monitoring is expertly managed with 3rd-generation 3-D scanners and dimensional probes, combined with experienced oversight.  

Assembly and sitework is also facilitated through the production of sections and sequenced assembly diagrams.

About our people and our facility

The staff of Feature Parametrics come from many different backgounds, but they are united by a love of good design and a talent for innovation.

But training in Architecture, Engineering or Industrial Design is just the start......within a few meters of our designer's desks is a workshop that has produced some of the most interesting architectural features in the world.

This proximity to the shop floor provides a strong does of reality, which helps ensure that our details "work". This constant contact with "the shop" is so valuable that even when working with outside suppliers the connection is rigorously maintained, in the form of in-process inspection and site visits.

Direct involvement in the production process helps ensure feasibility, reduces project management burdens and ensures effective cost and schedule control.
