NCR lobby finish package in WTC Bldg 7
Following the successful completion of a reception project on floor 25, Feature Walters is proud to have completed the first phase of a $1M+ full-floor ornamental metal and glass project on floor 35. The 1st phase includes stainless steel and glass elevator lobby finish and frameless doors. Phase 2 includes unique animated showroom elements.
Take the stairs; It's good for you!
Two architectural stair projects recently completed at Feature Walters, each of which uses more than 30,000 lbs of steel, used the full extent of our drawing, engineering and fabricating capabilities. The larger of the two rises 3.5 stories in the 5th Avenue, NYC, global flagship of Tommy Hilfiger.
Shaw Discovery Auditorium
Building an ultra-custom interior is difficult under ideal circumstances, but in Edmonton Alberta, finding skilled labour is almost impossible. Using an array of leading-edge technologies, Feature Walters is helping solve the problem by detailing, fabricating and installing a completely pre-fabricated interior system.
Deegies Carma
A new retail concept (which opened 1 day early on March 2) features 18,000 square feet of free-form fixtures detailed and fabricated by Feature Walters. One of two retail projects produced this winter, the new store is designed by Gensler and strategically located in Kansas City, a popular test-bed for new consumer ideas.
HBO Shop
Designed by Gensler (and beautifully photographed by Andrew Bordwin), the attached images show the custom structural glass retail displays with integral AV technology built by Feature Walters for the flagship HBO Store, located on 5th avenue in uptown NYC.
Armani storefronts
Feature Walters' advanced BIM / PSM capability has resulted in several contracts to detail and produce components for a wide variety of projects. The most recent is a series of Armani Exchange locations across North America. The first store was completed in 2007 and others will be ready for spring '08. A rollout of additional locations is scheduled for deployment through 2008-2009
Airport rain protection package
Following on an order for the atrium artworks at the Grantley Adams International Airport in, Feature Walters detailed and installed 1000 feet of 316 grade stainless steel eavestroughs and rain screens to handle the torrential tropical rains common to the region.
Free-Form Acoustic Ceiling
Designed by Feenstra Architecture Inc. this "topographic" residential ceiling treatment was detailed and fabricated by Feature Walters . The ceiling is made of computer-cut and lacquered MDF and brake-formed aluminum channels suspended from a customized steel truss.
Mirage Hotel Feature
Feature Walters is proud to have been part of an enhancement program designed by Munge-Leung for the Mirage, one of Las Vegas' best known hotels. Now open, the interior and feature program at Onda Lounge showcases the work of Toronto designers Alessandro Munge and Sai Leung.
Famous Players Yorkdale lobby
Feature Walters detailed, fabricated and installed the fibre-optically illuminated spiral, the signage support and truss columns. Feature Walters designed, built and installed the alien spacecraft and exploding planet theming elements
